I'm a Winner!

Walt Disney World 15 Years sun visor
1986
I had a great time antiquing with my wife this weekend and came home A WINNER with a few early WDW postcards and this sun visor, complete with working flashing lights.  During their "15 Years" celebration in 1986, WDW gave prizes away, like this rainbow-striped gem, every 15 seconds.

Old Dobbin on Main Street

Horse-Drawn Streetcar postcard
01110214
Here comes "Old Dobbin" walking (trotting) right down the middle of Main Street, USA...even if he is a little late.  This card, 214 in the 0111 series, seems to be out of place sequentially.  The other Main Street, USA cards were in the early 200's.  It follows Adventureland and Bay Lake area resort cards.
The back of the card features the standard Globe Head/Big D logo, the early Cinderella Castle icon and the 'The Vacation Kingdom of the World' tag line.
PS - Dobbin [dob-in] noun - a horse, especially a quiet, plodding horse for farm work or family use. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/dobbin?&o=100074&s=t

Walt Disney World DAD

Milk Glass Pedestal Mug
DAD
Happy Father's Day to all of the Walt Disney World Dad's out there.  Here is an early Walt Disney World milk glass mug to celebrate the day.  It stands 5 1/2" and is just under 3" across the top of the rim.  The logo is the arched non-Big D/Globe Head logo and the original Cinderella Castle icon used on many of the early souvenirs.

Here Comes the Choo Choo

Child's Plastic Divided Plate
Kibouki, Genin Trudeau
Continuing this week with our Children's Day theme, here is a colorful divided plate for a child.  It has a curved standard Big D/Globe Head Walt Disney World logo with the registered trademark symbol at the bottom of the largest section of the plate.  It was produced by Genin Trudeau of Montreal under the name Kibouki.  I have not seen any other items from this company made for WDW but have seen other disney related items like children's tumblers.

Happy Children's Day To My Child

Donald Duck Pin Back Button
Since today is Children's Day (depending on who's calendar you read), my daughter has selected this week's post.  She likes the color blue in the background.  And that is a good enough reason for me to post anything Donald.  This 3" pin back button, which were much more popular before the trading pins of today, features a crisp Big D/Globe Head logo and a lovely blue background :)
