Cinderella's Jack-o-lantern

Walt Disney World metal license plate
This 12" x 6" metal license plate makes a great Halloween post for this week.  Why, do you ask?  Because clearly this is the Fab 5 with Pluto dressed up as Brer Bear.  And it features the early Cinderella Castle icon that I have always thought looked like a jack-'o-lantern.  Don't you agree?  Regardless, it is a great traditional Big D/Globe Head piece.
Happy Halloween!

Mickey Tray

Metal Tray, Walt Disney World
Mickey Mouse

Metal trays and decorative plates were popular Walt Disney World souvenirs in the 1970's and 80's.  This 11" tray has a more basic design compared to the ones previously posted, featuring simply the Big Cheese and a curved Big D/Globe Head logo.

Drink Up Me Hearties

Tab can
Adventureland, 1986
When I think of Adventureland, "a jungle of delights," Tab and the color pink immediately come to mind.  Well, at least it did for Coca-Cola and their celebration of Walt Disney World's 15th Anniversary.  This series of cans featured many individual Disney characters, some of which I have already posted.  But it also highlighted the various 'lands' of WDW.  Me, I would have selected Fantasyland for the pink Tab can.

Goofy Goes for a Spin

Goofy Goes For a Spin postcard
01110215
Let's play a game with this early Walt Disney World postcard.  Can you spot anything wrong or different about this picture?  Did you say, 'where is the roof on the Mad Tea Party' or 'where is the center tea pot with the mouse?'  Those items were added in 1974, 3 years after this opening day attraction debuted.  The other item of note in this image is something that shouldn't belong in Fantasyland.  Note the Contemporary Resort in the background.
