Here's to the Dwarfs

Cherry Coke can
Doc, 1986
It's finally here!  The Seven Dwarf's Mine Train Coaster has opened.  Let's lift a cold can of Cherry Coke ($1.49/6) from 1986 and honor their leader, Doc!  All seven dwarfs appeared on cans during Coca-cola's celebration of Walt Disney World's '15 Years.'  Doc joins Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy & Grumpy so far here on my blog.  Do you know which two are missing?

Trembling Trio

The Haunted Mansion postcard
01110225 DP 79901-c
This week, on a business trip, I stayed at the most haunted hotel in Texas.  Ironically this Haunted Mansion postcard is next up in the series.  This Dexter Press card was originally printed with the Florida Flag and then reprinted later in black without the flag.  I was a 'courageous guest,' BTW.

Pop Open a Cold One with Mickey

Mickey Mouse bottle opener
I don't know where you live but it is finally getting warm here (and I just spent a week in recording breaking warm LA weather).  So cheers to warmer weather with this heavy-duty bottle opener.  The Mickey Mouse  on the light blue background and curved Globe Head/Big D logo are very similar to a keychain shown earlier in my collection.  Enjoy!

Happy WDW Mom's Day

Milk Glass Mug - MOM
Let's raises our milk glass pedestal mugs to MOM.  This gem from the early '70's measures about 5 1/2" tall.  She uses the original original castle logo with the non-globe head font.  She has a supportive and loving spouse named DAD.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Walt Disney World MOM's!

Happy Birthday Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World 18th Birthday Button
1989
A star was born back in 1989, Disney - MGM Studios.  For it's 18th birthday, Walt Disney World highlighted the opening of their newest park on their annual cast member birthday button.  Starting with their 9th anniversary, the buttons began to feature an image of significance from that year, often a ride or attraction.
May 1, 2014 marked the 25th anniversary of the now, Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The logo for the celebration shows a similar Mickey Mouse in his director's outfit.
Happy Birthday!
